Plot Summary:
|
Manchester 1976: Cambridge knowledgeable Tony Wilson, Granada TV presenter, is at a Sex Pistols gig. Absolutely inspired by this pivotal moment in music history, he and his friends set up a record class, Factory Records, signing first Treat Apportionment (who go through on to grow New Guild) then James and the Happy Mondays, who all turn prime artists of their time. What ensues is a tale of music, sex, drugs, larger-than-energy characters, and the birth of everyone of the most acclaimed gambol clubs in the world, The Hacienda - a mecca for clubbers as famous as the likes of Studio 54. Graphic... ally depicting the music and romp heritage of Manchester from the late 70's to the primeval 90's, this comedy documents the vibrancy that made Imprudent-chester the domicile in the fantastic that you would most to be.
