Handsome actor William Joyce was born on October 21, 1930 in New York. He made his film debut in 1954 with an uncredited bit part as a dancer in the comedy musical "Top Banana" (Joyce had previously appeared in an early 50's Broadway stage production of this particular musical). William had his only lead role as hunky pulp adventure novelist Tom Harris in the notoriously zombie horror clinker "I Eat Your Skin." Joyce had secondary parts in the movies "Lifeguard," "The Parallax View" (in one of ... his customary politician roles), and "The Young Nurses." He was a regular recurring cast member on the daytime soap operas "Somerset" and "Days of Our Lives." Among the many TV shows William did guest spots on are "Hunter," "Knots Landing," "Falcon Crest," "Scarecrow and Ms. King," "Knight Rider," "Lou Grant," "Barnaby Jones," "The Rockford Files," "The F.B.I.," "Cannon," "The Real McCoys," "Lawman," "The Rifleman," "Rawhide," "The Restless Gun," and "Conflict." Outside of his film and television work, Joyce acted in Broadway stage productions of the plays "Damn Yankees" and "Bye Bye Birdie." He retired from acting in the late 80's.
