Originally from Detroit, Tom Ferda began working in the film/television industry as a Special Effects Tech, Actor and Medical Consultant in 1990 while working as a Lieutenant/Paramedic in Central Florida. After leaving the fire rescue service in 1995, Tom joined the International Association of Theatrical and Stage Employees (IATSE Local #477) and operated a production office at Universal Studios, Florida.
