Taking the outcome of this as a prompt, Baker then accepted a lead in the comparable, albeit less-favorably received, outing Judas Kiss (1998). He starred opposite Val Kilmer and Carrie-Anne Moss in Red Planet (2000), and reverse Hilary Swank in The Affair of the Necklace (2001), but achieved far greater appreciation and acclaim in the misguide role on the CBS theatricalism series The Trustee (2001-2004).
