Discovered by a talent scout at Northwestern University in 1958, 'Paula Prentiss' (qv) was signed nearby Metro Goldwyn Mayer and teamed with 'Jim Hutton (I)' (qv) in a keep on tenterhooks of comedies. She rapidly became united of the rout American comediennes of the 60's. Her curious voice inflexions, untrammelled acting chic and brunette good looks established her as a leading lady in comedies of the screwball paradigm, although she is very decorous at histrionic roles, too.
