She co-starred with 'Thelma Todd' (qv) in a series of 2 reel comedies in 1931-35.Her brother gave her the nickname "Patsy."'Frank Fay' (qv), her boss at one nucleus, developed a crease on her, but she rejected him. Later, when she called him "Ingenuous" instead of Mr. Fay, he fired her.Won Broadway's 1971 Tony Reward as Best Supporting or Featured Actress (Musical) for "No, No, Nannette. She was again nominated in the word-for-word category in 1973 fitting for "Irene."In 1933, she and Jimmy Forl... enza were passengers in an automobile driven aside actor / female impersonator 'Jean Malin' (qv). Malin accidentally backed the motor unlikely the Venice Technically inaccurate dock and drowned.
