Born in Canada and trained for an acting career in New York, Michael Sarrazin made his earliest movie appearances through the auspices of the National Board of Canada. Arriving in Hollywood in 1967, Sarrazin was almost immediately lionized critically for his supporting work opposite George C. Scott in The Flim-Flam Man (1967).
He went on to co-star with Jane Fonda in They Shoot Horses, Don't They? (1969); with Paul Newman and Henry Fonda in Sometimes a Great Notion (1971); and w
