In addition, in an episode of "Life on Mars" entitled 'All the Young Dudes', his NYC detective character went undercover in the Irish mafia. While undercover he claims to be from Sandy Cove area of Dublin, which is where O'Mara is really from. As opposed to his appearance on "The Agency" he is told by a fellow cop, "Hey I thought you really were Irish. You're good at accents!" His wife Paige Turco played his love interest in the episode, the sister of the mafia boss.
