Ian Abercrombie has been most successfully known since the mid-'90s for his work in character roles, above all stuffy wealthy-crust types, including Mr. Pitt, Elaine's employer on Seinfeld, Alfred the butler in the series Birds of Go after, and the staid auctioneer in the climactic chain of Mouse Hunt.
