A third-age actor, his minister was Yiddish actor Jacob Hochstein. Harold made his station debut with him at age 6 in "White Slaves." Allegedly he had but one clue -- "Mama" -- which he failed to remember on opening evensong. The original "J" in Harold's name stood someone is concerned Jacob.
Following primary wife Jean's expiration in 1960, leaving him with two children, Harold remarried later that year to Miriam. They legally separated in 1964 but on no account divorced.
